London, the city on top of my bucketlist for quite some time. It’s very close so it doesn’t take long to get there, it’s one of the most famous capitals in the world and with the iconic image, skyline and buildings it is a must to visit. I had such a wonderful time the week I got to spend there. We booked a bus trip in order to get the maximum out of our trip. With the bus not only taking us to London (from the Netherlands) but also staying with us during the trip and the tour guide we were able to visit approx. 3 things a day, which in busy London during the summer, it wouldn’t be possible doing that by public transport, and taking a taxi everywhere is quite expensive. So If you live in western Europe (Belgium, Germany, France) I think this is a great option. Or another idea is to travel to these countries first if you’re not from Europe and then go by bus to London. Definitely recommend to try this out.
Now, you know that I like to do a summary of my trip mentioning all the things I did there in order to give you a glimpse of my experience. It’s not too long or boring and I think it’s the perfect way to do a travel diary.. let’s dive right in!
From going on the London eye to Picadilly circus, Buckingham palace to having the famous (and especially expensive) macaroons from L’aduree, See the changing of the guards, buying a Louboutin lipstick in Harrods (also very expensive), eat a midievel banket, have afternoon tea at Windsor castle, walk around Govent Garden, eat scones more than once, taking lots and lots of touristy photos (guilty!), walking down the Tower bridge, go inside St Pauls Catherdral, seeing the boats in Catherina dock, strolling down the south bank, buy a cheesy English flag umberella and showing it off of course, take the famous photo on platform 9 ¾ (10/10 experience), had the best risotto at Café Rouge, buying Lush bath bombs exclusive to the Oxford street store and saw awesome street art.
I’m probably forgetting to mention lots and lots of things but these were the absolute highlights. I loved this trip so much and had so much fun. London is quite impressive to say the least.
If you have any questions about my trip, London itself or where to go please leave them below and if you visited the city already: what did you love most or enjoyed doing ? Cute restaurant and café recommendations are ALWAYS welcome of course.
Hope you’re having a lovely day and thank you so much for reading.
Lots of Love.
